The Summit
Jungfrau, Switzerland
Towards the end of our trip, we visited Jungfrau which is one of the summits in the Bernese Alps. Luckily there were seldom clouds that day which allowed me to capture these photos of the mountain. The journey to the mountain was also special. We had to take a train up to the viewing tower and along the way, we saw the beautiful country of Switzerland. The scenery made it seem like we were going through a set from the Hobbit. One remark that I found interesting was that the grass in Switzerland was the best in all of Europe.
Canals of Burano
Venice, Italy
Known for their colourful building and beautiful canals, Venice was one of the most vibrant cities I have ever been to. Under the summer heat, the sun radiated onto these pastel colour buildings to create a painting-like atmosphere. Walking down each street felt like a fantasy. We visited Boruno which is towards the North of Venice where most of these photos were taken. In the first photo, you can see the RivaRosa Ristorante where I had the best tasting Spaghetti al Nero di Seppia frutti di mare (seafood pasta with squid ink spaghetti). We ate right outside under the white umbrella. Admittedly, it was quite pricey. But if I had the chance, I would definitely go again.
